Marianne Badrichani

With a background in film production, Marianne Badrichani began directing and co-producing French contemporary plays in 2000 in the UK, working with Katie Mitchell, the Young Vic, the National Theatre, and in the West End. In recent years she has been commissioned to create site-specific and installation performances in public open spaces. She is a member of the Cross Channel Theatre Group, a committee launched by the French Institute in 2015 to select the best of French new writing.

Since 2012, she started to direct shows in China where she first presented Members Only (Oriental Theatre) then Trois Ruptures/Three Splits, (Nine Theatre) last May, after two sell-out runs in London, at the Chelsea Theatre and the Print Room at the Coronet.

Trained at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, she is an acting coach and teaches drama at Central and ISSA.
